May you find yourself in the world…and may you enjoy the company!
Dear Yoko, dear Vicky, dear Inda, I so enjoyed your posts and your pictures. And thank you also for your loving comments on my snow poem.
It's nice to hear that it snowed a little also in Toronto, for the joy of children and pets and grown up children! Smile

Today there was sunshine, but still very cold.

I went to visit a friend of mine who doesn't walk very well and with snow and ice she has to remain at home to be safe. While walking at the end of our street there was a blockage for cars about 12 meters large and I wondered why. Then with a heavy heart I discovered the Pine Tree which seems strongly inclined and I so fear they intend to take it down, because if it snows again, it might not be strong enough and fall across the street with the risk to fall on cars or people ... That is the sad aspect of the snow. It is a magnificent Pine Tree, but strongly inclined and maybe the people have seen a difference lately and called the security service.

Enjoy your snow!

Love,
Margherita 2Hearts
Thank you kindly margherita.
Your poem is lovely.

quote:
Transfixed I watch the snowflakes fall
in quiet procession from sky to earth
like candid petals of Christ roses
scattered at random by rollicking angels.

Millions of ice crystals have gathered
to perform their show as skydivers.
My eyes record the choreography
hypnotizing rhythms flood my brain.

I don’t blink lest I miss a single moment
of this white choir that sings Your name.
Peace notes permeate my whole being
while I focus on this flow of purity.

Upon my lips the snowflakes melt
I taste life and marvel at its harmony.
Reaching deep into the white blessing
my soul unites with yours magically

as we sail as one across the trail of eternity.

We had a bit of snow here, but it has stopped.

We had nothing like this.

Love,
Sue

Dear Margherita,

Thank you so much for the lovely poem.
I was in a big rush when I was on Givnology the last time that I am embarrased to say that i did not see it.

Dear Inda, thank you again. I love the wolf picture. So beautiful.
It seems we are in a hurry all of us most of the time ... Please, dear friend, between us there is really no need for embarrassment! You are such a sensitive soul, I am honored to be so close to you. And it fills me with joy that you like my poems.

Thank you!

I am organizing the last things for my trip to Belgium.
See you when I will be back in March!

All my love.

We still only had mostly rain. The little snowflakes are missing. It is somewhat snowing at the moment, but it is all turning again to rain.
The animals are confused and are not hybernating, as many of them should at this time of the year.
Soon it is really time to wake up because spring is very near.

Snow-Flakes

by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Out of the bosom of the Air,
Out of the cloud-folds of her garments shaken,
Over the woodlands brown and bare
Over the harvest-fields forsaken,
Silent and soft and slow
Descends the snow.

Thank you Margherita for your lovely image.
We have had a lot of snow here in the last two days,
and I walked through the snow today. It reminded me of the story of "The Snowqueen" which I really enjoyed as a child, and still like to look at the book with all its beautiful drawings, depicting the falling snowflakes.

I love this whole magical thread.

Little Snowflake

Little snow-flake, soft and white,
Drops down in the silent night ;
Soft she came with steady poise,
Making not a bit of noise ;
Gently falling on the earth,
To be present at the birth
Of the Christ-child, and adorn,
With her beauty, Christmas morn.
