Canada's commercial seal hunt has always been a cruelty issue.Baby harp seals were slaughtered mercilessly on the ice.

The World Trade Organization ruled that this animal cruelty was a moral issue. Because of animal welfare, internationally and locally trade has been restricted. This could also be good news for other animals that suffer terrible cruelty.

There are now 34 countries that ban the seal trade.

It is time that animal cruelty is stopped.
