I found this in my E-Mail box and wanted
to share with you:
NO BLAME!
One of the most important concepts we can ever
learn is the principle of no blame. Life always
mirrors back to us who we are so we can learn
and grow. We project our unconscious issues on
others so we can see them and learn from them.
And so we can let go of any tendency to hold
outside people and forces responsible for what
happens. WE ARE NEVER VICTIMS.
Just as we are not to blame others for the
problems of our lives, WE ARE NOT TO BLAME
OURSELVES. Shakti Gawain writes that many
people who grasp the concept of personal
responsibility make the mistake of turning
the blame inwards. They condemn themselves
for what they see as their own failings.
For example, if I now know that the universe
is abundant but I am short of money, I may
blame myself for my lack of prosperity. I
may see my problems as proof that I lack
higher consciousness, that I’m not living
right or that I’m just not good enough.
"Blame is based on the negative assumption
that something wrong or bad is happening and
therefore someone is in error," says
Gawain. "Taking an attitude of responsibility,
on the other hand, requires us to look at
every situation as a potentially valuable
learning experience. We need to cultivate the
ability to appreciate the reality we’ve
already created, and see the problems in it as
gifts that can help us grow and evolve."
WHENEVER WE BLAME something outside us or
inside us, WE LOSE OUR POWER. We feel
incapable of altering the situation. When
we take responsibility, we use our power to
bring about change.
We always do our best -- and we can do no more.
As human beings, we only see a small part of
the larger picture that is unfolding. With that
limited perception, we often assume the worst
when in reality, all is unfolding perfectly for
our growth.
We have manifested our reality. The responsible
approach is to look honestly at what exists
without judgment and see what we can learn from
it. We can know that we’re doing just fine.
AND we can ask how we can make changes that
will bring us more of what we want.
