National Service Dogs is a non-profit, registered charity dedicated to enriching the quality of life and enhancing the independence of children and families living with autism and special needs.
National Service Dogs is the only facility that focuses on providing service dogs to families who have children with autism in North America.
Breeding Program

Develops quality service dogs by selecting breeding to ensure proper health and temperament of puppies.
Puppy Raiser Program

Coordinates with dedicated volunteers who raise and socialize puppies for the first 12 to 18 months of the dog's life.
Advanced Training Program

Returns dogs to the training centre for 6 months of assessment and training, to match the needs of a particular child.
Team Training Program

Instructs parents of children with autism at the training centre for 5 days on how the dog was trained for their child.
Child Training Program

Introduces a child with autism to their dog at home.The trainer remains for 5 days of instruction to ensure a successful transition.
Service Dogs

Increase safety levels for children with autism.
Improve a child's behaviour and socialization skills by acting as a constant companion and ambassador for the child.
Create freedom for the child and family members to go out of the house.
Expand a child's capabilities to experience more of life and to grow.
Calm children, thereby giving them an increased attention span and greater aptitude for learning.
Reduces stress and reliance on medications for family members.
