Lang Lang, Symbol of the Youth of China

Thank you for this post Inda. I have seen Lang Lang in concert and have been greatly inspired by him.

Lang lang is quite amazing. I saw him in concert last week.

Here is some information from the Royal Conservatory in Toronto

Since 2015, The Royal Conservatory curriculum has been the basis of "Keys of Inspiration", a public school of Lang Lang International Music Foundation that transforms young lives through classical music.

"The Royal Conservatory is the ideal partner for Keys of Inspiration," said Lang Lang. "The Royal Conservatory's structure System of curriculum and assessment is truly exceptional and fosters a participation in music and creative expression."

Initiated by Lang Lang and led by LLIMF Executive Director Leszek Lukas Barwinski, Keys of Inspiration partners with a school for three years. Students in grades 2-5 receive piano lessons in new piano labs, as well as a wide range of valuable learning materials. The materials include the Celebration Series, The Royal Conservatory's internationally acclaimed series of literature and resources for piano teachers and students, and Celebrate Theory, the Conservatory's newly-published collection of resources on music theory.

At the end of three years, student progress will be assessed through a preparatory examination of The Royal Conservatory Certificate program.

The program began at P.S. 46 Arthur Tappan School in Harlem, New York. It has expanded to 11 schools across the United States, reaching 2500 students. Students come from a wide range of backgrounds and experience, many have never had the opportunity to make music.

Thank you for all this valuable information. Lang lang certainly is an inspiration. Sadly, I have not been able to get to his concerts since he usually performs in the middle of the week in Toronto. I live in a suburb and don't finish work un time to get to the concert. Maybe some day in the future.

Thank you Inda. It is amazing what a young person like Lang Lang is contributing to the world. I have never seen him in concert, just on a video, and I really have no excuse.
