May you find yourself in the world…and may you enjoy the company!
Thank you for sharing the good news dear Susan.
Do pick up your artwork again, it will be good for you.

Healing is progressing well. Your body is starting to feel good agai. Soon everything will be back to normal.

I love the poem:

Silver

Raindrops shining,

Gossamer threads falling

From the Heavens, Cooling, Soothing,

Healing
~~~~~~
Love,
Sue
Thank you all! I even managed to get to sleep by 2am. I got my days and nights swapped around last week when I was sleeping so much. I came out of it thinking I was supposed to get my night's sleep between 4 and noon! That's bad enough in the summer. When it gets dark so early in the fall and winter, I feel cheated! The doctor's office is getting me a new prescription for sleeping pills, but it won't be in until today sometime. I tried Valerian capsules and they worked!
Dear Susan,
Joining in healing prayer for you.
If you can pierce the mask
of disease and contact your inner
self, even for a few minutes a day,
you will make tremendous strides
toward a cure.
Any cell, tissue, or organ is
capable of crying out for attention,
and when you give it some, the
healing process begins.
We have a pharmacy inside
us that is absolutely exquisite. It
makes the right medicine, for the
precise time, for the right target
organ-with no side effects.
Thank you all. Your prayers help so much.
Inda, I'm going to copy that quote from Deepak into my journal.
Well, not only am I writing poetry again, but today I started some paper mache projects. One of them is rather large. A "pottery" jar big enough to hold umbrellas and walking sticks. Since you can only add a layer or two a day, this could take a while.
Susan
Dear Susan,
I am glad that you liked the Deepak Chopra wisdom.
Here are a few more quotes by Dr. Deepak Chopra:
The physical world, including our bodies, is a response of the observer. We create our bodies as we create the experience of our world.
We are not victims of aging, sickness and death. These are part of scenery, not the seer, who is immune to any form of change. This seer is the spirit, the expression of eternal being.
You and I are essentially infinite choice-makers. In every moment of our existence, we are in that field of all possibilities where we have access to an infinity of choices.
I am really happy that you are writing poetry and doing artwork; as Sue mentioned, just don't bury all your poetry into the gigantic item that you are creating, otherwise we will never be able to read it.
Continuing to pray for your rapid healing.
Love, Inda
Dear Susan,
Keep on doing the things that you love to do best,
as you body is constantly healing.
Health and disease are connected like variations on one melody. But disease is a wrong variation, a distortion of that theme.
Before the art of medicine
comes the art of belief.
We are the only creatures on earth who can change our biology by what we think and feel.
No healing can occur without compassion. It inherently motivates the body and arouses the desire to get well.
The use of love is to heal. When it flows without effort from the depth of the self, love creates health.
To cure disease, I have to change the cellular memory of the disease-and that comes by transcending all emotion, all thought, and by becoming the silent witness of the process.
The higher self is that place where everything is accomplished by doing nothing. A mere desire becomes the trigger for transformation.
In mind-body medicine, any explanation has its roots in an earlier stage, in the moment when the immune system was weakened by a negative mental influence.
Getting well does not need struggle. There is no enemy within. Recovery lies only at the level of being.
If I find a green meadow splashed with daisies and sit down beside a clear running brook, I have found medicine.
I had my main treatment Tuesday. The one where I am at the hospital until 8pm. Slept most of yesterday, but I feel pretty good today. Maybe I won't lose so many days this time. My body may have just needed all that sleep last time because it had to acclimate to the new treatment. Besides, I went into it pretty tired.
If I get the time, I may get back to my paper mache today. I know having it out is driving Billy crazy. But he has been a sweetheart about it. He knows it is good for me. Wish me luck on shaping the top of the umbrella stand.
Susan
Dear Susan,
I am very happy that your treatment did not affect you so badly this time. You probably really needed a lot of sleep. These treatments weaken your body, so you need a lot of rest. Continuing to send you healing energy and wellbeing.
Wishing you luck with the umbrella stand. keep doing your art, it does help to speed up the healing process.
Some painting may also be fun. When the umbrella stand is finished you might paint it with some simple flowers or anything else that you like.
Some of these oriental flowers are quite easy to do. Here is a little sample;
Have a nice creative and relaxing weekend.
Love,
yoko
Actually, Oriental art would be especially appropriate right now. I have been studying some Buddhist tapes by Gil Frondal this week. My daughter is Buddhist and I decided it was time I learned a bit more about it. Carly, the same friend that has been encouraging my writing kept talking about these online tapes she had been listening to and posted the site for me. It has not only been interesting, but they also give me a great feeling of serenity. I've been listening to the series on Refuge, Stream Entry, and Bodhichitta. Not sure what I'll listen to next. I really like his guided meditations.
Susan
Dear Susan, do indeed what your heart desires, that's important. And whatever contributes to your serenity!
May you succeed in shaping, creating and decorating your umbrella stand just in the way you have it in your mind. There is such satisfaction to create such artistic objects and then look at them with a proud feeling of realization.
May you feel well, dear friend!
Lots of love and hugs.
Margherita,
Those ARE beautiful! I've been blessed with beauty all through this cancer experience. And the best thing about it being online is they never fade!
I've been doing the Buddhist studies because Shawna has converted to Buddhism and I wanted to know more about it. It is amazing how the Buddha's teachings are so similar to Christ's teachings. Well, maybe it isn't. The Truth is the Truth. I'm learning some new meditation techniques as well, which help a lot. I had been having trouble meditating since they started me on chemo--too many drugs interfering. And Gil's voice is very soothing. He sounds like such a peaceful person. A lot of times I put one of them on when I am having trouble sleeping. It helps to quieten my mind and I drift blissfully off to sleep. I think that is also helping me to remember the information. I usually play the one I have been listening to that night. Not always as some of the discussions are livelier than others. lol Those keep me up! Especially if he is in one of his joking moods.
I'm beginning to feel good enough again to start back on my paper mache. They gave me the cisplaitin last week and it is harder on me than the one I will take this week. I try to remember that the nausea and exhaustion only last about a week, but I do have days during that week when I get really discouraged. Then, when it starts getting better I look back and think, now what were you so upset about? But mostly, I just take it easy, read, play on the computer, and sleep tht week. By the time this is all over, I won't have to sleep again for a year! Just imagine what I'll be able to accomplish!
Susan
Dear Susan,
Joining in healing prayer for you.
Wishing that your treatment will not cause you to be too exhausted this week.
Soon it will all be over and you will be completely healthy again.
Do continur with your artwork, it helps the healing process.
Meditation is excellent for you.
Love,
Inda
