Let us take out time each day to meditate. Meditation puts us into a state of balance with the universe. When we slip into the infinite silence, our stress level will decrease, our blood pressure and metabolic rate will be lowered; we will find an improvement in our sleep pattern; our learning ability and memory will increase. Our anxiety and stress levels will decrease. We will become much more peaceful and calm, as we face our daily tasks.
Let us stop struggling against the universe, accepting things as they are each day. Struggling to keep things that seem to slip away from us only adds to the universal imbalance. Let us send out positive thoughts , in order to create happier and more successful lives for ourselves, and for others.
May we become aware of the present moment. There is a Buddhist saying:" The past is a memory, the future is a fantasy, the only reality is now."
Deepak Chopra says it very well in his book
The Way of the Wizard : "Live in devotion to this moment."
So let us forget the misfortunes of the past, and not worry about what may never come in the furture, just be aware of the now.
Opening our eyes to the beauty of nature, in every season and every day will bring us peace and joy. There is beauty in the blossoms, the scent of a flower, in birdsong, the sound of water, the color of the leaves in the autumn and the pure beauty of each snowflake.
Let us make a gift to someone each day, with a smile, a kind word and gesture. Let us share what we can with the homeless and the poor.
Most of all, let us serve all beings with kindness and love.
