Thank you Inda. We can learn a lot from nature, if we just observe. The group of engineers was very lucky to have a bird watcher among them, especially one that had seen the dive of the kingfisher.

"On earth thou canst taste the radiance of heaven, But in heaven thou canst not taste the anguish of earth." I lie entranced within a mystic Eden, -Mid cooling shadows cast by bending gladden- Deep in the sacred mountain's hollow hidden, And by my side reclines a little maiden Who sings to me of Dole. Around me murmured notes of mellow fountains That sprinkle smiling tears on myriad mosses, On myriad buds that deck the sacred mountains, And now a cloud the azure slowly crosses And breathes...

Who's the Birdbrain? Birds may have a reputation for being less than geniuses, but researchers are discovering that some are remarkably smart. Some birds have the capacity to recognize, count, or name different objects. Ravens, for instance, have the ability to solve difficult puzzles, such as untangling a knotted string to free up a tasty treat or figuring out how to steal fish by hauling in an angler's untended line. And, as shown in the first part of NATURE's INSIDE THE ANIMAL MIND, crows...

Thank you yoko for the very appropriate quote. The Vedic scriptures advise that knowledge of matter, namely science, must be cultivated alongside knowledge of spirit if it is to benefit humanity. From the article by Ranchor Prime: The cobbler lived beneath a tree. Now that we have left the trees far behind, perhaps we are ready to learn again what he - and we - once knew. Only this time, in the words of the poet T.S. Eliot, "the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and...

Re: Description of Wealth

Inda ·
Advice from Dr. Deepak Chopra: The harmonious interaction of elements and forces in your life operates as the Law of Giving. Because your body and your mind and the universe are in constant and dynamic exchange, stopping the circulation of energy is like stopping the flow of blood. Whenever blood stops flowing it begins to clot, coagulate and stagnate. That is why you must give and receive in order to keep wealth and affluence – or anything else you want – circulating in your life. The more...

TO THE ROSE UPON THE ROOD OF TIME by: William Butler Yeats ED Rose, proud Rose, sad Rose of all my days! Come near me, while I sing the ancient ways: Cuchulain battling with the bitter tide; The Druid, grey, wood-nurtured, quiet eyed, Who cast round Fergus dreams, and ruin untold; And thine own sadness, whereof stars, grown old In dancing silver-sandalled on the sea, Sing in their high and lonely melody. Come near, that no more blinded by man's fate, I find under the boughs of love and hate,...

BIRCHES When I see birches bend to left and right Across the lines of straighter darker trees, I like to think some boy's been swinging them. But swinging doesn't bend them down to stay. Ice-storms do that. Often you must have seen them Loaded with ice a sunny winter morning After a rain. They click upon themselves As the breeze rises, and turn many-coloured As the stir cracks and crazes their enamel. Soon the sun's warmth makes them shed crystal shells Shattering and avalanching on the...

Yes, it feels good to learn that a young man rescued this poor little pig. It looks like her accident will transform into her happiness, if they let her live a normal life. It gives me nausea to think that there are these little tender pigs (and other animals of course too) who are only raised to end up as food on our tables. At least one hopes that they do not suffer, but there are many cases of forced growth in horrible conditions and that is unbearable. I am happy for Wiggles! Thank you...

Indeed, I believe that we can't evolve and create a world of love and peace and joy, unless we begin to change and to gain this inner consciousness and peace, which is rooted in God.
