Update on our post " Piggy is not Going to Market"...



A farm pig hasn't been brought to the animal shelter for about 30 years. Wiggles has recovered from her terrible shock and wounds that she received when she fell off a truck, and will be moving into the Painted Rock Animal Farm and Sanctuary in Tottenham, Ontario, where she will have plenty of other rescued animals to play with.

This story has a very happy ending.

TORONTO - A piglet found injured on the side of Highway 401 in late May after falling from a transport truck will be moving to a new home.


The Toronto Humane Society says "Wiggles" will be relocated to the Painted Rock Animal Farm & Sanctuary in Tottenham, Ont.


The sanctuary 50 kilometres northwest of Toronto has rescued more than 100 animals from across Ontario, including other pigs for Wiggles to play with.


Wiggles recovery has gone extremely well following her surgery for a broken right hind leg and knee.


The piglet is now able to put weight on her leg and use it without problems.


Humane society staff say they will be sad to see her go.
