It's great to have you back! And thanks for all the good wishes while you were away.

Mmmmm, that champagne looks good! And I love those glasses. I have some homegrown grapes for us to nibble on. They are my favorite end of summer treat. The lady who runs the farmers market here grows them and she knows I will be showing up at her booth every August and September for my yearly grape fix.

How about a slice of cheesecake with the grapes and champagne? New York Style (my favorite) with White Chocolate and Fresh Raspberrys to go along with those wonderful Grapes.

I'm going to be away from home until Sunday afternoon so enjoy the party while I'm gone.

We are going on the NA camping trip. Billy wanted to cancel it because the chemo wears me out, but I told him I could rest just as well there as I can here and maybe even better.

We almost had to cancel anyway. Billy started having problems swallowing and went into the ER about 3 this morning. Turned out to be acid reflux and it had gotten his esophagus a little raw. The medicine they gave him eased it so we are still going. But it scared me to death. The doctor and nurse were talking about how acid reflux can lead to cancer if not taken care of. The thought of Billy having cancer on top of his other health problems.....I got a small dose of what he went through those first few days after my diagnosis. And I didn't like it! The possibility of losing him was worse than hearing that I had cancer. But even that had a good side to it. When he saw how upset I was it really helped strengthen his belief in my love. And since his fear for my life had just made him realize how much he really loved me, he needed that little extra reassurance.

No, this isn't a picture of Energy Lake. Would you believe we took a camera and I didn't take a single picture. But we had a wonderful time, got lots of hugs, listened to the wind whisper in the trees, picked wildflowers for our picnic table. and watched the squirrels. It was heavenly. And I am worn out!
