Happy Summer everyone! I have just come back after a few days on the island of Ischia near Naples. Though the days have been only a few, I have been happy to relax and to swim in the wonderful waters of the vulcanic island.
Today back at work, but alone, so I was at peace and worked in total serenity.
I'll try to share a picture of the "mushroom", a rock which is the symbol of Lacco Ameno one of the loveliest villages on the island.

Yesterday we have been up in the near mountains to visit a beautiful Sanctuary and I could hardly believe the great quantity of different butterflies who enjoyed the flowers ... See!

At such heights the air is good ... (1.100 m u.s.l.)

Thank you for sharing your lovely photos on Givnology. Like yoko, I have been to Italy, but never to Ischia. Your holiday, as brief as it was must have been very restful and soothing.

I am at my cottage, but sadly, not long enough. While I am here I am enjoying every bit of nature and fresh air that I can.

Dear Yoko if you have been on Capri you have seen also Ischia even if only from a distance, the two islands are quite near. Capri is the glamourous, famous for all the movie stars and artists that set their feet on it ...

Dear Inda being familiar with Hawaii as you are, must really make every other island a second choice! But of course it's true every spot on the Earth has its own charm.

Wishing you a beautiful time at the cottage ... I already noticed the first leaves falling here in Rome ...! There have been some tremendous rainstorms with an incredible number of lightnings. I observed them from my office window, one after the other ... beautiful, magnificent and ... yes also frightening!
