Take a daily break from your worries.
Here are a few simple ways to achieve this:

":Collect" positive emotional moments.
Recall times when you experienced joy, happiness, love, confidence and other positive emotions.

Learn ways to deal with negativity. Don't let negative thoughts plague you. Learn to interrupt negative thoughts, try to distract from them with thoughts of happy moments that presented themselves in your life.

Enjoy hobbies. Taking up a hobby brings balance to your life and keeps your brain active. Paint, sew, do woodworking, play a musical instrument, and even enjoy reading.

Exercise. Regular physical activity improves mental wellbeing. It reduces anxiety and stress. Walk, jog, do yoga or join an exercise class of your choice.

Daydream. Close your eyes and imagine yourself in a place that you have always wanted to be. Let the comforting environment embrace you in a feeling of peace and tranquility.

Do one thing at a time. When you are out for a walk, enjoy the scenery. Turn off your cellphone when you are in the company of a friend and listen to what they have to say. Enjoy the sound of the birds and smell the flowers.

Thank you yoko for the wisdom.
We all need to give our mind a rest and get away from our daily worries and chores.

Let us take a daily walk, enjoy nature and think of the nice things in our life.

Daily meditation is also good.

Love,
Inda

Ahh, dear Yoko, how right you are!

This is great advice, which we all need sometimes, because we tend to forget while we are all wrapped up by haste and worries.

Though I feel the pressure of things which need to be done during the week-end, because I don't have enough time during the week, I allowed myself quite a few moments of things I enjoy to do and I close an eye to the paperpiles on my desk or the clothes for summer to be taken out (it is very hot already here in Rome).

I just read for about two hours in a book which was lent to me by a Swiss friend. It contains ten profiles of famous Swiss entrepreneurs during the last two centuries and I am amazed by their biography! I only knew superficially about them. I love biographies, because they seem to enhance and stimulate our own creativity. When I see that worldwide famous people had overcome very serious moments of difficulty without losing hope to recover, it's uplifting.

Then I played with Zelda my cat, so I got my daily pensum in physical activity (should be more of course ...!). But still.

Then I also was inspired to write the little haiku I posted here.

Moreover yesterday evening I cooked with joy a cake without any weighing of ingredients, I let my intuition work and the result was truly encouraging and was appreciated by my two men, my husband and my son.

I must say that I am a little bit worried for tomorrow which will be the beginning of a very busy week, because my colleague won't be in the office, which means more work for me, but I will follow your advice and JUST DO ONE THING AT A TIME. I.e. not worrying in advance! I will be able to cope.

Now, I have savored the pleasure to stay with you, dear Yoko and dear Inda. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Love and hugs.
Margherita 2Hearts

I add a peaceful picture of the countryside we enjoyed yesterday during an excursion out of Rome

Thank you for the wisdom yoko, and thank you for your input Margherita.
I will make a conscientious effort to enjoy things that I am doing and to allow my mind to get off the tgreadmill that it seems to be on all the time.

Have a nice and happy day.

Love,
Vicky 2Hearts

Thank you yoko for this very wise message.
I will have to keep all my negative thoughts under control, and I have to give my brain a rest from unnecessary things.
