We can all do our part in order to enhance the
survival and wellbeing of the earth.
I have listed just a few of the possibilities.

1>>Stop covering our lawns with toxic
weedkillers that contaminate the soil
and the atmosphere.

2>>Let the wildflowers grow, which are not
only beautiful, but offer a habitat for
a great variety of insects and butterflies.

3>>Leave the grasscuttings on the lawn,
they provide nutrition and enhance the soil.

4>>Support organic farming, grow your own
organic food if you can, and buy organic
produce if affordable.

5>>May we stop cutting down forests. Many of
our animal friends are near extinct as we
encroach upon their habitat.

6>>Let us recycle whatever we can, and buy
recycled and user friendly products.

7>>Let us stop wasting our water and
electricity.

8>>If possible, create car pools, rather than
one driver per car, to eliminate unnecessary
fumes in the air.

9>>Surely our technology is advanced enough to
build cars that use clean energy, instead
of gasoline.

10>Walk wherever you can. Not only is it good
exercise for the body, but it is also
calming and soothing to the soul. It allows
you to unwind from the daily stresses.

These are just a few ideas.

Enjoy the natural beauty of the earth, as it
unfolds in its variety of colors and seasons,
each of which holds a beauty of its own.

Love, Inda

Thank you for the ideas.
My family and I have always been taught to recycle and not wast things. We come from the far east and we do not have all the luxuries back home that we have here. My brother never rakes the grass, he does as you say, leave it on the ground and in a day it is gone. I have a car pool; we take turns to drive. There are 4 of us in this pool. We have a patch in the garden where we grow our own vegetables in the summer. We try to use as few chemicals as possible. We buy recycled paper towels and seviettes. We repair our clothes. We are very careful with water and electricity. We do a lot what you have suggested.

Sincerely, Vicky

Thank you for this oldest post.
These points become more and more important as time goes on.

Let us not throw plastic bags onto the street or the ocean. Animals will eat them and they will not be able to survive.

Plastic water bottles, thrown away by the billions, will not decompose and produce a major problem.

I missed this old post as well.
Thank you for bringing it back to our attention.

These points are more and more necessary to consider as we continue to destroy the balance of the earth.

Thank you again for this post Inda.

As the holidays draw near let us remember to recycle.
Christmas wrap can be carefully removed and recycled.
The same goes for decorative bags.

I am fond of a real tree, but maybe we should start to think of artificial trees to save the real trees for the earth. Some of the artificial trees look so real and beautiful now.

Don't keep your outside trees lit all night. Turn the lights off when you go to sleep. This will conserve some electricity and it will also lower your bill.

Toys that are no longer used don't need to be thrown away, they can be given to the poor children who don't have any.

These are just a few things.

Enjoy the holiday season everyone,
and don't forget the earth.

Love,
Vicky 2Hearts

Thank you Inda for the original post and thank you Vicky for the good suggestions.

We can recycle so many things and be careful with resources. If everyone does a little bit it will help a lot.

Love,
yoko

Thanks for the good ideas.

We have recycled Christmas bags, paper (stored on cardboard rolls), ribbons an boxes.

Two years ago we bought an artificial tree and nobody noticed until we told them that it was not real.

We always turn off our lights when we go to sleep.

Let us reuse whatever we can, within reason.

Enjoy your holidays.

Love,
Sue

We can recycle everything here
