Lillian Gertrud Asplund was five years old remembered the night when her father, three brothers-including a fraternal twin-drowned on the sinking Titanic in 1912.

Lillian Gertrud Asplund was born in Worcester, Mass., on Oct. 21, 1906. She died in her sleep on Saturday at her home in Shrewsbury, Mass.. She was 99.

May she rest in peace.

Love
Vicky

Thank you for posting Vicky.
I did not realize that anyone was still alive from that sinking ship. What a traumatic experience this must have been.

Praying that Lillian Gertrud Asplund has made a peaceful transition.

Love,
Sue

Thank you Vicky.

Like Sue, I was not aware that there were any survivors left from that tragic voyage.

Praying for the spirit of Lillian Gertrud Asplund to be at peace.

Love, Inda

I believe the article I read said there were still people in other countries who are still alive today but she was the last from the United States.

I pray she stepped gently into eternity.

You are right Susan, there are at least 2 other survivors living, but apparently they were too young to remember anything. One was 2 months and the other 10 months old. Both are living in England.

Love, Inda
