I sit in silence at the shore
viewing in my mind's eye,
for the thousandth time,
the sweetness of your smile.

It dances upon the waves' crests
and within the soft breeze
caressing the water's surface
and mine, in ravishing designs
it brings me your very breath.

I fill my lungs with the essence of you
and life's enchantments carry me
into magical thinking of only you
upon unknown heights of delight.

I plunge with my heart and soul
into the beckoning light of your eyes,
yearning to lose myself in you
cuddling you and kissing you all over,
until every single atom of your being
will recognize me and love me for who I am.

Later, the stars will gossip over
the audacity of those lovers
performing their wild love dance
upon the silky moonlit waters,
in free audience for the whole of Universe.

And in the end a cosmic smile will expand
over the hushed waters of passion,
and still entwined, safely washed ashore,
we shall drift into each other once more,
tenderly rocking our souls into bliss,

for we are flowers blooming in the night,
carrying the fragrance of dawn’s kiss.
