The Bird is singing through the gloom
trying to warn us, of impending doom
we hearkend not and carried on
ripping and tearing at the world we belong

why do we live in such a world
where horrors, and nightmare's
before us unfold
the worst part of all this mayhem
is that we are, solely, the cause of them

why dont we stop and think again
pause to listen to the wren
stop your drilling, and pause your saws
and stop destroying our lives, and yours

A sign that he has not given up hope ... and in the same way we can sing through the gloom.

Thank you, dear Alanna, for this beautiful song, which stirs our consciousness.

Love,

Dear lil-purple-pixi,

Thank you for sharing the bird's sad song.
May we start to take care of our very fragile Earth, and listen to the birds' song.

Love, Inda

I wrote this a while ago wen the city woz really gettin 2 me, i just do not understand the selfish human need 2 destroy the earth we live on, Confused we get so protective about our brick houses and dont seem to 2 realise that the earth is a much more vital home that is under threat from our everyday actions, it just makes me sad Frown and just a little mad Mad

Thank you for the sad but very beautiful message.
Humans really are the most ignorant and selfish creatures on earth, especially since we were given the possibility to be intelligent.

Thank you lil-purple-pixi.
This is very beautifully written. I also feel sad the way humans are destroying all living things on the Earth. I hope that we will listen to the birdsong before it is too late.

Love

I agree, I don't understand that either --

But I fully understand compassionate words like yours and the love and beauty within them!

"They took all the trees, and put them in a tree museum. Then they charged the public a dollar and a half just to see 'em!

Don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you've got 'till it's gone. They paved paradise, and put up a parking lot."
- Pink Cadallac by Carly Simon

Music is often reminiscing, remembering things and sharing their beauty. Chopin was remembering Poland a lot and we get to experience his love of it through his music.

We get to experience your love of nature, the wren, trees, country experiences and such through your words. And your words may help implore people to value these treasures as well!

It is so true, if you simply "project" how things will be with people destroying nature what will happen. Logical to do so as well. But it is also important to keep the love of nature, the beautiful influence that it has on you well spoken and beautifully articulated.

To say: "You @$FLKU stop @%@$*&*ing up the world!" is not as useful as saying: "The healthy serenity I find in nature is _______, I hope you can experience the rejuvinating vibrancy of nature" likely will make someone destroying nature think twice hum?

Above I am commenting that I really appreciate your sort of anger at what is happening to the beauty of the natural world. Below is more fun:

Dear Alanna (can I call you that?), your writing always makes me appreciate the nature around me more and more. Makes me want to take a walk to the park right now! You paint such wonderful pictures of the heavenly "good vibes" that nature offers us. Thank you for your "sound of the wren!"
