To be the breath that neither seeks to
rise nor fall...content to pass in
silent understanding as a whisper
on your lips.

If I were only this...

Would you breathe this space to
draw me near?

To be as nothing.

To be the wind...that yearns to know the
taste of all that lies before the
briefness of its touch.

If I were only this...

Would you spread your fingers to
the night...as I kissed the air
that ran between them?

If I were only this...if I were
nothing -

Would you know me?
