There is something about the Music of Bach - perhaps the fact that the harpsichord and organ rather than the piano that were the principle keyboard instruments in Bach's time (with virginals etcetera) might explain some of its charm.

Bach perhaps more than any other composer seems to be able to transport the human soul rapidly to the heavens!
