The time we shared was all too brief
But still you touched my heart
I dared to hope, I vainly prayed
We'd never have to part

But circumstance made fools of us
It robbed us of our chance
Fate rolled the dice, her wicked game
Goodbye to our romance

Now that you're gone, I miss you so
All I can do is cry
I never told you what you mean to me
I never said Goodbye

My sleepness nights are passed in pain
And I cannot break my fast
I just can't get you off my mind
I'm living in the past

Wherever you are, wherever you go
Please know I want you still
I love you so much with all my heart
And I always will

The rhythmic cadence of your song of longing is quite enthralling, dear Angel Eyes!
I think many can relate to the pain of your heart, in this time in which you experience separateness. You express it beautifully.

It's funny, but sometimes our cries out of missing someone or something become treasured reminisces - that take us back to what we are missing!

Chopin the composer said he would "Cry into his piano each night" missing Poland where he was from - and we have his beautiful music because of it!
