…And my name’s not Gean!
It’s Sean. This is me in a video – The real me. Sean Simpson. I began posting in these forums specifically to promote the release of John Assaraf’s book, Having it All: Achieving Your Life’s goals and dreams. You might have seen the thread… So why am I suddenly sharing this with you? Well, here’s how it all went in a nut shell: At the end of August I joined a 6 month program called ‘The Having it All Challenge: Achieving Your Life’s Goals and Dreams,” by John Assaraf. In it we had weekly calls with John in which we were basically ‘mentored,’ by him. For the last couple years it was a dream of mine to be mentored by one of the big personal growth teachers, not just in a ‘group’ setting, but in person. Low and behold, because of my passion and constant action, about a month and a half into the program I got a job with him. …Since then, he’s literally taken me under his wing. One of my first jobs was to promote his book, Having it All, on forums that had relations to Personal Growth, Self-Development, the Secret, books, etc. It was a bit of a daunting task though. Why? Well, how could I possibly do this and not be a ‘spammer’? For one, I didn’t want to do that…two, he didn’t want me to do that…and three, it was up to me to figure out how to promote it without being a spammer. I decided that I would only post in the forums if I could engage in dialog with others. I brought that idea to John and he loved it. Over the last few months I have done exactly that, and it has been a great experience. Throughout the various forums I posted on I’ve had lots of very appreciative people reply thanking me for bringing their attention to the book. Why? Because it really is a great book. I’m not just saying that because I work for the guy. The principles I learned in it were exactly what I applied in my life to get the job with John. So I would like to thank you all at the same time give my apologies. If anyone feels mislead by the pen-name I created and or that I didn’t inform you I worked for John, I am very sorry. I honestly wasn’t sure how else to go about doing it… I want to thank those of you that contributed in conversation regarding the book, both good and bad…believers and skeptics. I have truly enjoyed it, and really am more than happy to continue the dialog if anyone is interested in discussing. For now on though, it will be under my real name: Sean Simpson. As a student of personal growth and human potential, I wish you all the very best. Take Care. --Sean Here I am: |

Hi Sean,
I had a best friend Sean Hanes... OK OK OK! Well? I've requested both the book and audio CD from my library! Whew! You had to twist my limb to get me to HAVE EVERYTHING! I used to go from board2board2board and post.. similarly.. so I wouldn't automatically assume you are spam. And if it helps me, or for that matter ANYONE, have more of what they want, it belongs in the Prayer board - as opposed to the ANNOUNCEMENTS or WEALTH discussions.. it just might be a prayer answered! I'll tell you one having-it-all that I can't.. I can't share this board with the world and not get spammed to death! I opened posting to guests again and get a blazillion viagra enlarge porn ads.. I mean, it's amazing how many I get! And they seem to look at topics enough that .. why would they spend the time to see what we have, then ruin it? If John or you can help me so that guests can post - the spammers stop, that will be for me, having it all. Walk softly but carry a BIG PEACE |

My friend Adze Mixxe is a famous astrologer one of whose claims to fame is that he is the only dead person I know whose web page is still running and still gives one of the best free charts on the web with transits included. His loving wife Gwen who I haven't met runs the site. You can pay for a chart that will tell you what time of the day to sit and when to act. I tend not to feel that I need that - the free stuff is adequate. When someone is excellent enough, you'll want to pay for their work if you've seen the free part of it or some sample you liked por nada on YouTube.
YouTube is o.k. You can run it but you can't download it. You can discover kindred spirits there maybe even a young Norman Vincent Peale. He was good too. The power of positive pthinking. To Teo. I don't think Sean is spam. He's a good freebie on YouTube - a visiting YouTube star. Look at his numbers. He's brand new. I love your little lecture Sean, it's beautiful. You have a good screen test in your blurb there. If I were a pedusa I'd hire ya. Speaking of what some might call commercial spam here is another Dr. Bronners detail that I've been sharing on another thread. I think it is quaint. It corroborates your message. Remember in the the face of fame that notoreity is better than infamy. Adze Mixxe used to tell me that I was the only person he knows who knows everyone. I do a know a lot of famous people who bear out what you were saying about nothing being wrong with recognizing that it could befall you. The most famous person I knew was probably Marlene Dietrich who once took me to see a movie when I was a child. I knew her daughter who was famous but less so and she gives a roundness to her mother in the biography she wrote that overcomes those moments of meanness and even abuse. My great grandfather on my mother's side was a famous Anti Zionist Rabbi. Some fame comes from putting up a fight. My last yoga teacher who I consider a friend is Hudson Leick who is somewhat famous for becoming a blonde Xena for a few weeks when Lucy Lawless broke her leg (literally) on the Leno show. My hat is off to the writers for pulling that one off and working it into the script credibly. Now they are striking. Being striking is part of being famous. Hudson Leick is striking. She's more famous for being the evil Callisto (read the Bronners label). I don't know everyone. I'll take Vicky's advice and wash my hands before shaking hands with someone I don't know. I'd trust everyone to be clean here in this forum. I've known Teo for years. He's clean for Gene if anyone was. I'd bet his mom voted for McGovern too. Keep those positive vibes comin'. ![]() |

If the goddess is left out of the soap label - let in the goddess. Here comes the famous Kali!
And to GeanSecret. If you know the secret, part of the secret is you still have to keep your eyes on the road when you're driving. You know that one. I wish my famous Blues Guitar playing friend Rory Block's kid knew that when he drove his car into a tree. Or Mike Hedges who played at the last concert I saw Rory at. Break a leg is supposed be ironic. That's why dancers wish each other good luck before a show whispering "merde" to a soloist before an entrance. My ballet mistress was famous for dancing around with the head of John the Baptist as Salome. Her stage name was Alice Williams. I'm gonna live forever. . . Forever and ten minutes longer. Andy Warhol has me on film. That's just a rough estimate. Maybe it was fifteen minutes. I'd have to write Gerard Melanga. He is a friend but not the way you might think. I bet half those people are on YouTube. I never knew Mike Hedges. I loved his playing. |

Is there a plane big enough to carry all the souls who were famous who have died in plane crashes? Linda McCartney who I knew lost her mother in one and her mother wasn't famous.
Lee Eastman was famous for causing the dispute between Lennon and McCartney about who wrote what. I'm famous for beating Lee at Backgammon on the beach in East Hampton. Fame was and is all over the place there. It drove some to drink. I know - they used to hire me to be a bartender at a party where I even got to mix a gin and tonic for Commodore Whitehead himself. I should say gin and Schweppes, not to spam Teo with more Bronners Hemp Soap. It wasn't in East Hampton but in Water Mill. Not all who who drink are alcoholics. Drunks don't attend meetings. My mother was in AA with Truman Capote in East Hampton. He was a famous writer but not a notoriously happy man. I may have served a drink to John Steinbeck because the guy Hans Namuth was a famous photographer who hired me as a kid to mix drinks, and I know Steinbeck lived in Sag Harbor and was a subject of Hans'. There is a whole room of Hans Namuth's photos of Jackson Pollack at work in the Museum of Modern Art in NY. I was a subject of Hans Namuth myself at the age of five. He had me on his wall among other dignitaries. I love his work. Hans died of natural causes at an old age. I met Pollack once. His wife Lee and I share the same birthday, Oct. 27th. Not the same year of course. He was not a happy man either and also crashed into a tree. Them damned planes and trees! William Shawn the editor of the New Yorker who of course edited Capote's work and whom I knew as the father of Shawn's son Allen is famous for his phobias. Allen has inherited those and wrote a book about them. He and his wife the writer Jamaica Kincaid, Antigua's most famous citizen have separated and that's not positive news. Or maybe it is. The world is a stage. Don't literally break your legs, my friends - Nam myoho renge kyoh. Let me have the part of the invisible man. I'm rehearsing those scenes where you can't see me. |
