Thinking of Matti's Mother Ann ...



There are times

when the song

of a Mother's heart

abruptly stops.

It's when the pain

engulfs her throat

and the only sound

escaping her lips

is a profound sigh.

When collapsing

into the abyss of despair

seems the only

possible reaction

to the loss of her child.

But then a friendly hand

on her shoulder

tells her that she is not alone.

A touch of warmth

makes her smile through the tears

while she remembers

all the beauty and the sweetness

that can't be erased

from her heart.

And she moves on

with rainbow colors

dancing in her eyes.
