Sending love and prayers for support, comfort and rebuilding to those who suffered losses in the flood early this morning in Peterborough.

Fortunately, there were no reports of anyone being hurt, however, there was great damage to homes and businesses in this small town.

Dear Angela and all, I have had news from my cousin Betty. Her family is fine, but they all had great damage as the basements were flooded, gardens in bad shape…. In my cousin Margaret’s house all the food stored in two big freezers had to be eliminated after the interruption of electricity …Betty’s husband Ollie had made some improvements to protect their house from flood damage, after the floods of two years ago and this prevented them from more serious damage.
I see from the bulletins of the City of Peterborough that they are well organized and the situation is improving, but the damages suffered are really great and it will take a lot of time to restore things to normal.
My prayers continue.

My prayers continue also Mar to your family and all the others in this difficult situation.
Tha government announced yesterday, they will be giving $5 million (for now) to help begin restorning life back to 'normal'.
Singer, Ronnie Hawkins will be doing many benefit concerts to help raise money for residents there also.
