I talked to a friend of mine last night and she told me she hasn't been able to get in touch with her daughter for several days. Norma Jean and her husband are having problems. Shyra says he has started drinking again and that when he drinks he is abusive. She talked to the husband a couple days ago and he told her that Norma Jean was in Florida (they are supposed to be moving there from Georgia.) She called her cell phone later and he answered and said he was out looking for her. When she called again, the phone was turned off and Norma Jean hasn't contacted her. Shyra lives in Ohio, so last night she was waiting to contact a friend in Florida who could go and see what was going on. At this point she doesn't know if the husband is just trying to keep them from talking (I think he has done that before) or if Norma Jean is actually missing. She is scared, angry, and terribly worried. Please pray for Norma Jean to be safe and to get in touch with her mother, and for Shyra to have the strength she needs to get through this. She has a heart condition and I am terribly concerned about her.

Norma Jean got in touch with Shyra! Her husband had beat her up, choked her, then put her in the psychiatric ward at the hospital.

She is out of the hospital and scared to death. He says he wants to work things out and that he can easily have her killed. Shyra has told her who to get in touch with--authorities as well as people she knows down there who can hide and protect her.

Universal Mother,

Surround Norma Jean in protective arms that no harm may come to her. Cloud the vision of those who would harm her so that they cannot discover her hiding place. Give her mother the strength and serenity to wait this out in peace and reunite them as soon as possible.

Thank you all so much. I don't know if Shyra has made it over here to see all your beautiful images and prayers, but I know that when she does, they will touch her heart. I got a quick note from her today--no news yet about Norma Jean, but we are going to try to talk on Saturday. Maybe I can find out more then. Shyra says she is doing okay, just really busy and really tired.

Thank you all for keeping Shyra and Norma Jean in your prayers. I talked to Shyra Monday night. No real news at the moment. Norma Jean is supposed to be calling her every other day, but she hadn't called yet and Shyra was pretty aggravated. Apparently, she is bad about not staying in touch. All Shyra can do is wait and pray.

A gate into a new and better life for Norma Jean.....
