100,000 May Have Died in CycloneSource: CBC News

More than 100,000 people may have perished in the deadly cyclone that ravaged Burma, a U.S diplomat said Wednesday, adding that the situation is becoming "increasingly horrendous."

Sending prayers for all the victims in Burma.

Love,
Sue

Joining in prayer for the victims of the cyclone in Burma.

I heard that there may be 100,000 dead and 1.5 million homeless.

Yesterday the junta refused UN experts and dozend of private aid workers to enter the country with help. Tey were forced to sit in Thailand 5 days after the cyclone smashed into Myanmar.

Let us pray that aid can reach the surviving humans before there are more casualties due to lack of water and food, as well as emergency medical aid.

God Is Our Hope

God is our hope and strength,
a very present help in trouble.

Therefore will we not fear, though the earth be moved,
and though the hills be carried into the midst of the sea;

Though the waters thereof rage and swell,
and though the mountains shake at the tempest of the same.

There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God,
the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.
-- Book of Common Prayer 1979

Joining in prayer for Burma population to find quick assistance to avoid further risks. May the helping hands be welcomed and efficiently intervene.

May divine peace flood the souls of the victims and may the tears of those alive be dried by love and concrete emergency rescue operations.

Love,
Margherita

Continuing to pray for the victims in Burma.
The death toll could be as high as 216,000.

Relief agencies are prohibited from entering the disaster zone. With little aid getting through to the desperate survivors, the dead have been forgotten, left lying about in fields, stuck in trees,in waterways etc.
The living are seriously traumatized, trying just desperately to survive.

Sending prayers.

Love,
Vicky 2Hearts

Mother Teresa

Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.

Continuing to send prayers for the victims in Burma who have been forgotten and left uncared for.

Love, Inda
