On the other side of Oakland, here it has now cooled and the coffee supply has been replenished. (Soy milk too).

I am a little concerned for my other supplier of coffee because he lives in New Orleans and so do some of his family. Theirs has chickory in it. And my favorite flavor is the hazelnut, which is what I got in the form of beans from the local supermarket and that is what I'm about to grind.

I have a consultant (C. Callahan) who has been helping me develop a spice cabinet and she has been encouraging me to drink more tea. Sometimes persuaded that coffee can be a dangerous drug, I keep coming back to it an find that if the quality control is good and you're comfortable with the labor situation in the country of origin - it's still a pretty good beverage.

I think I'm going to have an afternoon cup and plan to get things done tonight.

It sounds like labor day has passed and I hope everyone enjoyed vacations and such. I think I'll try to swing by more often. But some days it has been very hot and it seems appropriate to turn off the juice at the workstation and let the fans run.

Happy Roshoshana. Don't forget to blow the shofar. A harmonica or a kazoo will work too.

Thank you for your reply yogionefromobie.
I believe that coffee in moderation is not harmful at all.

Here is an article that I posted on Givnology some months ago:

Various studies have shown that coffee in moderation is beneficial for our health.

The Honolulu Heart Program, in the 1960's found Coffee to protect the brain cells from damage leading to Parkinson's didease.

Harvard researchers found that coffee may cut the risk of Type 2 Diabetes by 30%.

In Germany studies at the University of Muenster showed coffee to protect us against colon cancer.

Plenty of studies show that caffeine in a cup of coffee can increase alertness and improve performance in tests of mental function`

The latest evidence shows there is less to worry about than we once thought, and perhaps some unexpected benefits, so enjoy a cup of coffee a day.

Enjoy your cup of coffee. PacMan Yes Wave2
